Michael is a multidisciplinary artist born in NY and raised in Portugal. There, he studied Visual Design and developed his love for photography while emerged in the European culture. Before joining Macy’s, he successfully managed the Art Department for the popular satirical news source, The Onion, and also worked on book releases that landed on the New York Times best-seller list. This led to a Betabeat nomination as one of the “Most Poachable Players in Tech” due to his outstanding work and unquestionable passion for his field.  Currently, Michael works as an Art Director for Macy’s where he’s involved in a variety of creative projects, and also as a freelance photographer/videographer, fulfilling his insatiable need to create beautiful pictures. In his free time, he loves to ride his bicycle, travel and capture the world through his camera.
